Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients:
- 1 box of white cake mix
- 4 large egg whites
- 1 stick of melted butter
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups of sliced strawberries
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 (8 oz) containers of thawed whipped topping
- Nonstick cooking spray
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray 2 8 in round cake pans with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large bowl combine cake mix, egg whites, melted butter, vanilla and milk until well blended.
- Divide cake mix evenly into pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- While cake is baking put sliced strawberries and sugar in a bowl. Set aside.
- Once cake is baked and cooled completely begin to cover once cake with thawed whipped topping.
- In the center of the cake spread sugar strawberries evenly leaving about 1 in of room from the rim.
- Place the second cake on top and cover completely with whipped topping.
- Garnish with strawberries and refrigerate until ready to serve.
